be good

As kids we are told to "be good". I think we grow up not knowing what that looks like. We are not born knowing how to behave. A child wants whatever he sees and has to learn to wait. Even as adults we can do good things in our own strength temporarily. Our self-seeking behavior often leads us to dissappointment. God can grow lasting goodness in you. Seek Him and He will change you in ways you never imagined.

Galations 22-23
22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Father,
You want good things for us. So often it is our stubborness that gets in Your way. Help us push past that so that You may grow us. Help all of the EOD people see how big you are and show them how to grow fruit in thier lives. Thank you for never giving up on us and always providing a way. You make all things new!
In Jesus' name,
Amen
